RO2S 250 Rotary Handle – Safer and Smarter Operation of EB2S 250 MCCBs
In low-voltage installations, safety and ease of operation go hand in hand. The right accessory can make daily handling simpler while also increasing protection during maintenance.
In our latest video, we present the RO2S 250 rotary handle, a breaker-mounted accessory designed specifically for ETI’s EB2S 250 moulded case circuit breaker (MCCB).

The RO2S 250 is developed for use with the EB2S 250 MCCB, providing external door-mounted control of the breaker.
Instead of directly operating the breaker inside the cabinet, users can switch and reset it via a robust rotary handle mounted on the enclosure door. This improves:
-
Operational convenience
-
Safety during maintenance
-
Controlled access to the switchgear interior
Key installation steps:
-
Adjust the handle position
The initial handle position can be modified by removing the back screw and repositioning the handle. -
Mount the mechanism onto the breaker
The rotary mechanism is aligned carefully with the breaker housing and secured with screws. A clear click confirms proper fastening. -
Install the front components
The hook and front indicator are attached to the cabinet door or false panel. -
Check door interlock engagement
Once the cabinet door is closed, the interlock lever engages automatically.
This ensures the mechanism sits firmly and operates reliably.
Once installed, the rotary handle allows smooth switching between:
-
OFF
-
ON
-
TRIP
-
RESET / OPEN
The OPEN position is particularly important. It disengages the door interlock, allowing the cabinet door or front panel to be removed safely.
If the breaker is in the ON or TRIP position, a built-in screw mechanism allows controlled disengagement of the door lever. When in TRIP position, slightly rotating the handle toward ON reveals the screw.
This ensures safe and intentional access — never accidental.
Built-In Safety with Padlock Protection
For maintenance work, the RO2S 250 supports up to three padlocks.
By switching the handle to the OFF position and applying padlocks, you effectively prevent unauthorized re-energizing of the circuit.
This lockout capability adds an additional layer of protection for:
-
Service technicians
-
Maintenance teams
-
Industrial environments requiring strict safety control
Why Choose the RO2S 250?
The RO2S 250 is more than a mechanical accessory. It enhances:
-
Operational ergonomics
-
Access control
-
Maintenance safety
-
Visual clarity of breaker status
In modern electrical installations, these details matter. A properly installed rotary handle contributes to safer workflows and improved user experience — without adding complexity.
